(*09/08/2024*) - Safety Rules/Limits - [[MCDM Tabletop Safety Toolkit.pdf]] - [[MCDM Tabletop Safety Checklist.pdf]] - If you have any hard/soft limits for topics you do not wish to have be a part of this campaign, please let me know about them - I see this game as a fun, heroic adventure, so there should be no/minimal dark or horror or gore elements beyond minimal descriptions of the results of battles against monsters - Nobody had any limits or concerns voiced to the group, but I'm here if you have any that come up - Campaign Notes/Session Recaps - Who will take the Party notes and how will they be shared with the group? - Luke will continue to take the party notes for now - Terri will continue to update the website with info as needed - Who will track the Party loot?\ - Someone probably wants to identify that new bag some time soon... ;) - I will ask the party to do the session recap at the beginning of a new session. I will add anything I think was relevant but not mentioned if I see the need, but the goal is for you all to tell me what you found relevant and share with everyone how YOU saw the story unfold. - This can be anyone in the party, or all of you pitching in together - Session Scheduling - What happens if there is a no-show? - What is acceptable behavior in this regard? - Do we sit your character out or have another party member puppet them? - We will continue with what we have been doing so far: - If you know enough in advance to allow for schedule adjustments, we will do that as needed - If it is a last minute thing, like on-call work, then let us know as soon as you can and we will adjust as needed - including asking if you want your character to be puppeted or to sit out depending on the current campaign situation - Expectations of Players - You control your character sheet - I review them from time to time to make sure you aren't missing anything glaring, but I am not an expert in your characters, you are. - Limited phone/device use, please (other than for your character sheet, of course) - If I notice people paying more attention to their phones than the game, I will call for a break or end the session - we need to listen to our brains when they're telling us we need a break - Social Contract - Respect for everyone at the table - Cheating isn't cool, and honestly I don't get why anyone does it - If you want to try new things, let's talk about it and see what we can make happen! - We play to lift - My Style - We are learning how this particular group does this together, so please let me know if I'm overlooking a rule or misunderstanding how something should work - having said that, please don't make it a habit to tell other players they are playing wrong - characters do what characters do, even if it isn't an optimal choice for the situation - if there's a rules situation happening address it to me - Storytelling with my friends is my goal here - My favorite rule is the Rule of Cool!
